If you clicked despite the warning above, it was your choice.

Remind yourself of that, when you feel offended by anything I say. You clicked the link, you read the page. Nobody forced you to. I don’t expect everybody to agree with everything I say. If you don’t like what I have to say, don’t try to shut me up. Offer an opinion of your own. Post it as a comment on the offending entry - I welcome even negative inputs.

I’m saying this because of something the wife said last night: “A lot of Filipinos are ignorant of sarcasm.” There’s a lot of that around here. If you’re not comfortable with that, I suggest you go someplace else.

If you don’t like serious discussion on Catholicism, evolutionary science, and all-around skepticism, go back to whence you came.

However…

if you don’t mind the occasional offense against the Saints and the intermittent swear word and/or referral to intimate bodily functions (all done with wit and pizzazz, of course!), then come on in. And tell your friends. Just don’t tell my mom.

I also hope u dnt get offended that im a practicing catholic. I believe in the church but i also know it has flaws. or maybe im a selective catholic kasi when i listen to the priests sermon, ill just take what i like and those that i dont like i just ignore. Siguro this stems from my childhood, my grandmother who was a buddhist had buddha and my grandfather’s picture on the 2nd flr of our house and the virgin mary and the sto nino on the ground flr. I asked her which one she really believed in and she replied whatever works for me at the moment. She told me it’s the same anyways, all religion has one message and that is to love one another.

I’m not offended if someone disagrees with me, although I prefer that such disagreement be phrased civilly. Strange thing, though - some people (not you, obviously) are offended by the simple statement - “I don’t believe in God”, as if the fact of disbelief is an offense in itself!
